The Johns Hopkins Office of Work, Life and Engagement offers many services that assist employees in taking care of their families. These services are benefits available to faculty and staff of Johns Hopkins University and employees of Johns Hopkins Health System, provided as part of the HR benefits package.
For child care needs, you might be interested in these services:
- Backup child care: Backup child care services can be a great help when regular caregivers are unavailable, when your child is sick or when you need care in addition to the hours covered by the center.
- Breastfeeding support: Johns Hopkins recognizes the positive benefits of breastfeeding for both you and your child. We are committed to providing you with the information and support you need if you choose to breastfeed after returning to work. Mother’s Rooms allow for private, clean spaces for you to express breast milk.
- Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account: The program helps eligible JHU employees save money on child care expenses by allowing employees to set aside funds—before taxes—for planned dependent care services received for dependent children under the age of 13 while you work or search for work.
